Director of Marketing

 

The Director of Marketing brings an innovative spirit and a maniacal focus on data to create a best of breed demand generation practice at iPEC. The Director will be responsible for the demand generation lifecycle from campaign strategy, concept, logic flow, multi-touch execution, and optimization, working in collaboration with the Admissions, Operations and Curriculum teams. The Director will leverage a balanced marketing mix across the “paid, owned, earned” marketing landscape to create unforgettable experiences for prospects and clients throughout the buyer's journey.

 

The Director will have responsibility for campaign strategy, digital strategy, social strategy, paid tactics (digital display, paid search, paid social, affiliate) and owned and earned channels with the goal of optimizing campaign and channel performance (as measured through KPIs such as MQL conversion, web visits, enrollments, etc.) This role requires matrixed collaboration and integration across a number of stakeholders across the organization. 

 

This position is a key leadership role within iPEC and will report directly to the CMO. The role requires a strategic, data-driven mindset and “can do'' spirit. The Director of Marketing will be instrumental in building the organization and establishing departmental goals, performance standards, procedures and rules of engagement. This individual will drive cross-functional input, deliverables, timelines, and performance metrics to the CMO:

 

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Campaign design (strategy, offerings, timeline and marketing mix tied to logic map)
  • Campaign Strategy, timeline and regional considerations
  • Marketing mix selection and optimization for optimal ROI
  • Sales projections and budget management
  • Metrics and pipeline dynamics (lead scoring, lead passing and lead attribution)
  • Digital experience, strategy and performance metrics
  • Campaign execution; tagging, asset performance etc.

 

The successful candidate will have proven and successful experience managing a team (currently will manage a team of 3 and growing) as both a player and a leader, being able to perform tasks and manage others to the successful completion of a project. The candidate must also have a proven and successful experience building and executing direct and digital marketing campaigns for a business in a highly complex business environment.

 

The Director of Marketing must be highly analytical, and data driven. The Director should be able to demonstrate a keen understanding and appreciation of metrics, have experience with A/B testing, and marketing program optimization. The candidate must also have an ability to track and report on key metrics that measure performance in programs and campaigns inclusive of traffic, revenue, leads, conversions, and ROI.

 

This position requires people management responsibility and the candidate must portray exceptional leadership skills and an ability to influence and drive people towards a common goal. They will also possess an ability to build strong, effective, and long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
