Title:  Human Resources Manager


Position Summary

The Manager of Human Resources (HR) provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. They are responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals. This position also manages all non-U.S. HR operations and is directly responsible for foreign-based employees and expatriate HR matters. The Manager of Human Resources will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes best practices for the entire recruiting process, including on-boarding and off-boarding
  • Recruits, interviews, negotiates offers and hires
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Provides day-to-day direction in all aspects of international human resources
  • With consultation of leadership, assumes corporate responsibility for development of company guidelines, policies and procedures on US and non-US related HR matters.
  • Serves as the in-company designated expert on the interpretation of US and non-US human resource matters
  • Consults with counsel to assist with the implementation of human resource programs for all foreign entities
  • Leads the company’s effort in maintaining and continuously improving the performance feedback process utilizing a coach approach
  • In consultation with leadership, handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy & a coach centric mindset
  • Stays current on and consults on leadership on competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; etc.
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with non-US employment laws
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA in human resources, international relations or other business-related field or an equivalent amount of experience and training.
  • At least 5 years of human resource experience.
  • At least 2 years of international human resource experience.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
  • Coaching certification/skills preferred
