Sales Manager

US-Based (Virtual Allowed) Full-time Allows remote

Position Summary:

This position oversees the sales team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in leading and growing a sales team. This role will interact with various levels of the organization and will partner closely with leadership on goals and policies, while teaming with marketing to strategize on campaigns. Recommend product or service enhancements.

The sales manager is expected to come with a consultative perspective coupled with problem solving capabilities. The ideal candidate will come with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to develop a personal vision of what the sales team can accomplish. The right candidate can assimilate into the iPEC culture and continue to build the sales team in alignment with that culture. This role understands what motivates customers to buy, knows how to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way and helps the sales team and marketing implement such understanding to drive results.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with leadership to create and implement a sales strategy that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence
  • Set and drive short and long-term sales goals, including implementing a strategy and process for assessing effectiveness
  • Create efficiencies to maximize sales teams potential to hit targets
  • Provide leadership support to the team, including direction around goal setting, providing coaching and performance support
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs
  • Present sales reports and realistic forecasts and weekly reports
  • Work with Marketing to identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition
  • Function within the policies and procedures of the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching
  • Accept other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Successful previous experience as a sales team leader or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze, manage and create data monitoring systems as relates to enrollment

Education, Certification, Experience:

  • 2-year college degree preferred
  • iPEC Certified Professional Coach, PCC certification or higher is preferred
  • ELI-MP certified preferred

Technical Requirements:

  • Experienced in order processing systems and data entry, with mastery of PC skills
  • Netsuite and Hubspot experience preferred
  • Google office platform preferred
