Title: Mentor Coach

Location: Remote - US Based only

Contract: Independent Contractor (with own business and self-insured) 1 yr. minimum commitment

Compensation package: $44 USD - per student session including follow-up evaluation (paid monthly). 

1 complimentary ELI for every 2 students mentored (allocated on a quarterly basis)

What is the role of the Mentor Coach?

The purpose of working with a mentor coach is for students to receive support and guidance as they practice mastering the iPEC Core Energy Coaching™ process and the ICF Core Competencies within a framework of positive encouragement. Throughout the mentor coaching process, students move from learning the basics to becoming confident, skilled coaches who are reaching toward their maximum potential.

Responsibilities of the Mentor Coach

  • Conduct six mentor coaching sessions with each assigned student (Session 1 is 45 minutes, and remaining sessions are 30 minutes) 
  • Being prepared to be coached by the student on a real topic
  • Track student progress during the period in which they are being mentored
  • Ensure that students are growing in their understanding and application of Core Energy Coaching and the ICF Core Competencies 
  • Complete an evaluation form for each student session 
  • Model openness, coachability, and "creating the relationship" with each student
  • Provide specific feedback at the end of each session to help the student grow, further develop their coaching skills, and build confidence and awareness of the many nuances in the client/coach relationship
  • Utilize iPECs scheduling system for student appointments
  • Attend the 1 hour monthly group mentor coach meeting on Zoom 
  • Attend periodic mandatory feedback sessions with Team Lead      


Education, Certification & Experience:

  • iPEC graduate with CPC and ELI-MP certifications
  • Current ICF PCC or MCC credential holder
  • ICF member in good standing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide feedback to students in a non-judgemental and supportive way

Technical Requirements:

  • Ability to access various online platforms to connect with students 
  • An internet connection broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE) - Wired connection recommended
  • Speakers and a microphone built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth
  • Processor and RAM Requirements
  • Minimum:  Processor - Single Core 1Ghz or Higher; RAM - 4Gb   
  • Recommended:  Dual Core 2Ghz or Higher (i3/i5/i7 or AMD equivalent); RAM - 4Gb


Ongoing Requirement:

Volunteer or ATC in the CTP classroom periodically as outlined in the mentor handbook
